ガンガーに飛び込んで壊れた色々な価値観

本日、無事に日本に帰ってくることが出来ました！

心配してくださった方々、応援してくださった方々、そしてこの旅中に出会った全ての人に感謝したいと思います。本当にありがとうございました！

ちなみに、沐浴２回しましたが、体調に特に問題は起こりませんでした。むしろ２回目の沐浴後、腹痛が治まったぐらいです。ただ何人かは点滴打ったり、入院したりしたので沐浴する際は十分注意が必要だと思います。


インドとパキスタンは、私の中にあった様々な価値観、感覚を見事にぶっ壊してくれました。特に、バラナシでガンガーに飛び込んだことで、私の中で何かが吹っ切れたような気がします。

正直、何がどう変わったのかはうまく説明できません。そしてそれが日本という国で生きていく上で適しているのかどうかも分かりません。でも、今回の旅で確実に私の中で何かが変わりました。それを成長と捉えるのか、変化と捉えるのか、はたまた失敗と捉えるのかはこれからの生活の中で見定めたいと思います。


そして今回の旅も、やはり刺激の連続でした。

正直すぎるぐらい、自分の欲望に忠実なインド人。
様々な欲求を抑えても、神に祈りを捧げるパキスタン人。


日本人＝無宗教と考えがちだけれど、実は意外と近くに宗教は根付いていたりする。特定の宗教は持たなくても。自分の中に神様を持っている人もいる。

私は無宗教だけれど、時に運命というものを信じてみたくなる。素晴らしい出会いも、思いがけないトラブルも、もしかしたら既に決まっていたことかもしれない、と思うときがある。


今回、宗教というものを客観的に、時に直感的に感じて見えてきたのは、人間は何かにすがりながら生きているということ。


どうしようもない状況に置かれたとき、この上ない幸せに包まれたとき、人は超自然的な存在を信じたくなる。それは時にキリストだったり、アッラーだったり、ブッダだったり、「神」であったり、運命であったりする。

前回の旅の終わりに、私は人は一人では生きてゆけない、ということを書いたけれど、今回感じたのもやはり同じような内容でした。いざというとき、人間は自分のなかにすがれる存在を持っている。

困難な状況に置かれたとき、すがることの出来る絶対的な存在として、それぞれの人の心の中に「神」はいるんだろう、と思います。


宗教の持つ果てしないパワー。それはきっと神のパワーではなく、宗教を信じる人間のパワーのような気がします。


混沌と神秘の中に生きるインド・パキスタンの人々と出会い、人間もまだまだ捨てたもんじゃないな、と感じました。

バラナシ＆嬉しいニュース

今、バラナシという町にいます。ここはガンガーがある街です。明日あたり沐浴してこようと思います！

ダラムシャーラーからデリーへ移動し、色々と面倒な手続きを済ませ、アーグラ―でタージ・マハルへ行き、今日バラナシへとやってきました。

今まで移動続きでバタバタしてたので、ここで一週間ぐらいゆっくりしてからデリーに帰ろうと思います。


そして、２年前ボリビアで出会い、去年ニューヨークでお世話になったスティーヴとサラが、４月に日本に遊びに来ることになりました！！わーいわーい。

まあ、無事にここまでたどり着けて何よりです。おそらく無事に日本に帰れるでしょう。ご心配おかけしましたー！！

ダライ・ラマ！

久々の日本語更新ですね。今、ダラムシャーラーという町にいます。以前も書いたけど、ここは現在ダライ・ラマ１４世の亡命先でもあります。


今はチベットの旧正月にあたります。さっき町をプラプラ歩いていたら、なんだかすごい人だかりを発見。聞くと、なんとダライ・ラマ１４世が通るとのこと！！

実際、通ったのはほんの一瞬ですが、実際に見れたのはすごく貴重な体験でした。
今回はヒンドゥ教、イスラム教、シク教、チベット仏教など、宗教に触れる機会が多いです。すごく刺激になるし、いろいろ考えさせられますね。。。


昨日の夜、アムリトサルからこっちに移動してきましたが、早くも今夜移動です。
インド再入国の際、またまたビザで色々トラブって、デリーで手続きをしなきゃいけないそうです。面倒くさい・・・

最近、バス移動３０時間とか続いてたから、１３時間でデリーに着くと聞いて「超短いじゃん！！」と興奮してしまった私は末期でしょうか・・・


ダラムシャーラーはチベット民族が多いので、薄い顔を見てると安心します。インド人も心なしか優しく見える。
ここへきた目的はチベタン料理を食べまくることだったのですが、胃の調子がおかしく、どうも食べ物を受け付けてくれません。色々うまくいかないものですね・・・

まあ、でも私は元気です。ご心配なく。


ダラムシャーラーの町はとても穏やかで、時間がゆっくりと流れているように感じます。でも忘れてはいけないのが、チベット民族の波乱の歴史。そして彼らの願いはまだ叶っていないということ。


一日でも早く、チベットの人々に平和が訪れることを願ってやみません。
宗教に疎い日本人。もっと勉強しないとね！！

now, i came back to Amritsar!!!

i had lots of troubles on the way to here.....

my flight was canceled 3 times, and i heard the news that the road was repaired. so i decided to take a bus to rawalpindi.

but!! the bus was broken!! it needed 5 hours to repair...i spent the night in the cold broken bus...

so, if there's no problem, it needed only 20 hours. but because of that trouble and bad weather condition, it took 32hours!!! this is the longest bus trip for me...

i heard that 2 bomb blasts occured in Pakistan and many people died.
but don't worry! now, i escaped to india and i'm fine!!

tomorrow, i go to Daramshala. its a tibettan place and Darai rama 14th lives there.
in fact, it was a big tibettan festival on feb 14. but you know, i had lots of trouble. so i couldn't see that.

i go there to eat tibettan food! my stomach is a little bit tired of curry...
anyway, i'm happy to come back india again!!

pakistan, especially northern area was very very good place. but it was too cold to stay long. no hot water, no electricity.....next, i have to visit on spring.

and, i'm gonna arrive at japan on march 1st. so i think we can't meet...

Gilgit.....

now,,, i'm in Gilgit...

today, i got airticket for tomorrow, but its not sure that the flight is gonna be possible or not. it depends on the weather condition....

but its funny that i've got many friends in this town.

i met one guy on the way to Gilgit from Hunza. he is also from hunza. he is very kind and helped me a lot. in these days, i walked around the town with him.

we talked a lot about our country, the problem of kashmir, and religion.
when i said that i don't have any religion, he asked me,

"if you don't believe god, who created us?"

i said, "if god created us, who created god?"

he said,"god was created by spiritual power. but god himself is also spiritual power."


i think, its impossible to discuss about religion for japanese. we never understand "what is religion?"


off course, there's no proof that god is real or not.

in Pakistan, i feel so much the difficulty of religion...


but, if we wanna know what's happenning in the world, we have to study about religion...i think...

Gilgit

now, i'm in giglit. its a small town that places 4 hours by bus from hunza.

i enjoyed hunza very much! i had some troubles,,, but i'm gonna tell you in japan.

now, i have a problem.

i came here to go to rawalpindi by airplane. but the weather condition is not good, so the flight will be canceled tomorrow, maybe also the day after tomorrow...

so i tried to take a bus to rawalpindi, but the road is broken. it needs 3 days to repair.

then, i have to stay in this small town more than 3 days!! what i'm gonna do?

anyway, something unexpected happens often. its no good to feel unluckey.
i'm gonna try to enjoy this trouble!
